Supervisor Quigley's Taj Mahol?

Is Quigley trying to build a new town hall similar to his old NYC digs?

When your Jim Quigley and you get 51 votes for County Executive your head starts to swell even bigger than it normally is flaccid. Yes, we are still talking about the head that sits on Supervisor Quigley's shoulders, didn't mean to make anyone feel ill.

Supervisor Quigley who wants nothing more than to be accepted as a player in Ulster County politics, giving up a multi-million dollar job so he could have his ego stroked on a daily basis as Ulster town Supervisor. However, Quigley is finding that's not enough anymore. In our opinion he hates doing the job as Supervisor, as he has told many people and we feel to Quigley it's all about Quigley.

So what to do? Build a new town hall for yourself, of course! Rumors are running wild that a new town hall is going to be built. We have already heard the excuses of mold but as Newt Gingrich would say lets cut the baloney Jim. In our humble opinion, the current modest town hall offices just do not fit with what Mr. Quigley is accustom to.

Quigley went from working in a lavish NYC building right in the heart of Manhattan, with everything at his fingertips to having to listen to Mr. Barton's crazy rants at town board meetings and having to look at Jason Casenza every morning. Will the new town hall be like his old office in the city? A huge skyscraper with a private entrance for the Supervisor, he can have his own little Taj Mahal on our dime. Maybe the Donald Trump wannabe will add some casino games at the new town hall: Jim Quigley presents blackjack, might be a way to pay for this unnecessary expense.

We do not need a new town hall so that Supervisor Quigley can feel important, a new town hall will almost certianly raise taxes more than the double digit increase we already got from Quigley.  The hypocraisy of Mr. Quigley is what really gets us, when this guy ran he came out against having a nice community center for the seniors in the town but it's ok for him to build a new town hall for himself..hmm, a little selfish if you ask me.

Why again is it Dems gave this guy a free ride?

  1. A new town hall is not something that we need. I agree this is all about Jim Quigley wanting a big office to feel important but at what cost? This new town hall will cost millions, will probably run over budget and will raise our taxes. I can't afford to live in the town under Quigley, enough is enough. Go back to New York City, leave us alone.

  2. I bet Quigley was picked on a lot as a kid and now he is a big bully. He must be really insecure.

  3. Why all of a sudden are we getting this anti-Quigley blog? Let's see.....a certain person was summarily rejected by Kingston Democrats, lost his job at Tech City which leaves him with nothing else to do, and is on the outs with Aaron and the rest of the "in crowd". Does he now think he can resurrect his career in Ulster by criticizing Quigley? Forget it, it ain't happening. The voters will never buy it.

  4. Yeah, Jim was talented enough to work in the City of New York as an executive for a successful corporation in what by NYC standards was just adequate surroundings while his predicessor, Nick Woerner, couldn't keep a job with a tax dodging property owner like ginsberg in a pool of toxic waste, mold and decay. Any jealousy here????????
    Give me a break!

  5. Woerner did not lose his job at TechCity, he had enough of the bullshit. Just like he did with Aaron. Woerner is still very much in the in crowd. If Woerner had something to say about Quigley he wouls say it. Nick is not someone who is known to pull punches. As for the Kingston Democrats, Gallo is the new Mayor and there will soon be a new City and County Chairman. Honestly you don't think that Nick has been part of those discussions. Quigley bought an election and lied to the people of Ulster. Now he must have pissed off someone and they are after him. Funny how the first story is about the "Ulster Manor Project" where is Vinny Guido, he is suspect number one for this blog!!!

    1. Any discussion about Nick Woerner always begins the same no matter whose involved, the same 2 words 'that asshole' and naturally the next word is Woerner!

    2. The only people who think Woerner has any say in anything are his naive family and himself. Once it goes to the rank and file Democrats, he is toast. No one, and I mean NO ONE in the Democratic party will get within 10 feet of this pariah.
I heard that Ginsberg did a favor to give Woerner a job for one year, he did and that was that.
What cracks me up is that they are the only ones who bad mouth Quigley. Everyone else loves the guy and it really has little to do with Quigley being a great guy, a nice guy or even good at the job. Quigley is not that great, nothing special at all, but Woerner was that bad --- really that bad.

If 3:28 thinks Quigley lied to the public, exactly what did Woerner do then? Let's move on from him, he is no longer Ulster's problem.

    3. Whoever, (I believe it is another failed Woerner project), is writing this blog has no clue about people or politics, like all the other bloggers who have tried to hide behind anomyminity, they will be outed and shown for the fraud and coward that they are. It's just a matter of time.
It's easy to smear someone from behind a pointed white sheet.

    4. 3:28 -- You have to be the only person on the face of the earth who believes what you have written.

Woerner is getting what he EARNED and DESERVES! Shunning by society is now his lot in life. He made the choices, he must pay the price.

  6. What happened to the comment timed 11:39AM, it was better than the original post and much more acurate. regarding Nick's getting fired by his cousin Aaron, getting fired by ginsberg, getting a few token votes for alderman, what a loser this guy is and now he starts a smear campaign against quigley, I think obsession is disease of the mind, but how could that be, Woerner has proven time and time again he is mindless, the only ideas he ever had came out of Aaron or Zweben's asshole!

  8. "The hypocraisy of Mr. Quigley is what really gets us,"
Is there really an 'US', and if so do any of you really understand the meaning of 'hypocraisy'!

  9. SMEAR BLOG or SMOG, meaning the creator/writer is trying desperately to throw a smoke screen over the fact that quigley did a fine job and that if it wasn't for the hole that Woerner left (& thank god Woerner 'left'), even the tax hikes might have been avoided.
Do you really think you can convince people that Woerner isn't behind this bullsh*t!

Had enough of the bullshit, that's a laugh, Woerner was the bullshit!

  11. Jim Quigley is a tightwad, republican asshole that only spends money on"altruistic" projects, and then leaks it to someone so he can get the accolades. He calls himself Quigley III---what a scmuck! Quigley the third my ass,Qiugley the third what?? The top of the page istates it right, Quigley likes his ego stroked. If he decides to run against Hein in the future he will get his ugley ass handed to him.

  12. Jim Maloney and Jim Quigley fancy themselves Ulster County power brokers. Wait until the town Republicans turn on them. It's coming.
